"New" OEM Fan Quality a

I was shocked when I opened the box of a "new" OEM cooling. The quality isn't what I expect from Porsche and I'm replacing mine mostly for cosmetic reasons.

Has anyone bought the EPS version, would I be happier with that replacement over OEM if I'm more concerned with optics?

I had a similar problem with the clutch arm for my 87 3.2 G50. I sent the clutch arm back to the dealer. Due to porosity in tbe metal. I could barely see the Porsche quality control

I bought an 11 blade EPS aluminum fan. Not as nice as original mag fan but not too bad.

That is awful. I would return it before considering to ever use it.

Stock Porsche fans typically come coated with cosmoline. Am not seeing it. Also not liking the look of the plating on center hub. Could be photo but it's too dark. Way that fans looks in general does not say Porsche at all. You should post from where it came.

Was it returned as a defective part ?

If so, that's great customer service. I'm all for that but not if it eventually raises the price for everyone including those who don't mind slight cosmetic blemishes if it works perfectly.

Also doesn't look that much different from the advertised picture....
