Air Nozzles on a 77 911S engine

At present I have the standard air nozzle on the LHS of the engine with the hose going to the blower suction and then to the heat exchanger inlet. There is no power going to the blower as the body is a 71 coupe with no switch for the blower in the harness. What I would like to do is get rid of the blower completely and feed air to the exchangers as they did in 1974. I found the solution is known as backdating the heating. This gets rid of the blower. Has anybody else done this on this board?
