Differences between 930 engine versions

I'm putting my Cali 930 (930/63) back together and I see several differences between the Cali, USA/Japan and Europe intake hose routing.

Differences located in thread here

Does anyone know if there were differences between the Cali, USA/Japan and Europe motors that coincided with their differences in intake equipment and routing?

Since I'm making new vac hoses for the intake, I feel converting to the Europe layout would be simpler, fewer parts to fail, etc.

Would be a great side effect if it actually improved performance in some way

I don't need to pass a visual inspection, only a tailpipe emissions.
