Reference sensor position on clutch - does it matter?

when putting the clutch on, does it matter where the reference sensor is? Should it be at TDC?

I actually meant the little set screw on the clutch with respect to the reference sensor itself?

Isn't that on the flywheel and not the clutch?

of course. You are correct. Was a very late day. thanks. Maybe somebody will know the answer. Seems like it doesn't matter as I never tried adjusting anyways.

The flywheel is "keyed", It only fits in one position.

I see you found your answer but it's important to inspect the trigger pin for damage.
I have seen machine shops mangle the pin during resurfacing to the point of making the sensor clearance challenging if not impossible to adjust.
I've also seen replacement flywheels missing the pin altogether.
