Good used factory cams with reconditioned rockers?

I've done a fair bit of searching on this and despite using many combinations of terms I didn't find a thread that answered my question.

Let's say a guy picks up a nice set of used factory cams in the profile he wants, can he get his rockers reconditioned and have success breaking them in together?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, but the key word is ‘could’ . I think that it depends on the condition of the rockers and the cam surfaces etc. I used factory reconditioned rockers with new cams and have no issues. But that is my only experience.
