Damaged rocker - reuse or replace?

Have been sorting out broken head studs and found some damage on a rocker. It must have happened a while back as you cn see a difference in the polished surface of the cam (it's not scored or damaged in any way - just a different colour). Looks like it was maybe a casting defect.

Should I replace it. If so, do I need to worry about how the replacement will bed in? Does it matter if I use a new or 2nd hand part?

Thanks for your help.

My vote - replace it. Used one should be fine.
Not an expert, but have rebuilt a few of these.

That looks like a chip. Granted most anything can be repaired - may not be worth it though.

Replace it with a similar rocker.
There are a bunch of different rockers in the used market and new. Some are junk.
Shoot for an original rocket of matching configuration.

Should have the cam lobe assessed too

Thanks very much for the advice. Have got a replacement on the way.

I’ve never seen such a failure! Is that an original piece?

Replace, too far gone
