bad rockers
Hi, I am in the process of rebuilding the top end of my 86' 930
and have found several worn rockers but the cams look ok. Will it be ok to just replace the bad rockers since I do not want to re-grind the cams and replace all the rockers if I do not need to. thanks ed |

If the rockers are worn, the camshafts will lobes will be worn. It may not be easily seen. The lobe will look nice and shiny but it can be tapered accross the face. If you put new rockers on worn lobes, the new rockers can wear out prematurely.
They may wear out in 1000 miles or 25000 miles.
