Will a 74.4 mm crank fit in a 3.0 case

Getting my act together on my Carrera reconstruction. 6 speed transmission is on the way, am now worrying about flywheels....

Which brings me to crankshafts. Intention is to build a 3.4 litre using 98 mm pistons and cylinders with a 74.4 mm crankshaft, using my 930/03 3.0 litre European case.

Any problems with fitting the later crankshaft into the 930/03 case? I assume it is a drop in....

BTW, any good deals on a std/std 74.4 mm crank? I was thinking of going to Porsche and getting a new one

Dennis

Sorry, I don't know if one will fit. I'd think it would.
Even used 3.2 cranks are really expensive when you can find them. They go for something like $1100-1400 for a STD/STD. A 930 crank is supposed to be the same as a 3.2 and it already has the right distributor drive on the crank if you intend to use your CCW turning SC distributor. Someone (FredC?) was selling a 930 crank and rods in the classifieds at a very reasonable price not long ago.
