Magnesium case stud kit

Need some advice and pointing, I have a set of 7R cases that have spent some time outside (oxidized) and want to see if it is salvageable and want to replace all the studs and nuts. I'm assuming the head studs have to be bought separately, I'm talking about all the other studs and nuts. Know where I can find such a kit?

Belmetric sells the individual studs, if you can't find a kit.

Given how easy it is to get the separate parts, I'd not expect a kit. Head studs probably available as a kit. For instance, Henry Schmidt's studs with his washers and 12 point flange nuts.

You might see what you can do with the many 8mm studs by way of cleaning the rust off of them. Unlikely that they are not still strong enough for their jobs.

How are your through bolts? Those are kind of expensive to replace, but not something which commonly breaks.

Thank you for the follow-up...just for clarification, not looking for head/cylinder studs, case (and studs) are pretty oxidized and a few bent and missing nuts, hence my request...if no kit, sounds like the individual route might be all I can do and take Walt's advice where I can...Just chased threads on engine to transaxle (M10-1.5) and they cleaned up nicely, so there's hope...thanx,... :-)

Case to trans are generally pulled threads so you’ll need casesavers

Case savers with mag case head studs, too, done in a mill so they don't porcupine. Might as well align hone the mains while you're at it so the crank will turn with new bearings, Cylinder base resurface so the cylinders all sit on the same plane. Ollies does all that stuff.

Agree and was thiking this for sure given the level of oxidation. Did't expect to need case savers for the engine to trans though, right now 2 of those threads are holding the engine on the stand...

You sometimes see one or more of the engine to trans threaded holes fixed with one or another type of threaded insert, typically I think where a bolt rather than a stud was used. I'd be inclined to leave any studs there alone if I could, as it probably is removing them which causes them to come out with mag thread remains attached. I think visual inspection of a threaded hole, if a stud or bolt has already been removed, would probably tell you if something needed to be fixed. Of course, you can test by torquing to see if it yields before finishing up the work.

Thanx Walt...chased 4 case to transaxle stud threads (no studs) and they cleaned up great and 2 of them are holding the case on the engine stand...I'll take your advice on the remainder of the studs but I have to replace at least a couple (bent)...case is very oxidized from sitting outside but looked like it was a good case when they left it outside...meanwhile I'll work on getting it apart and remainder of head studs out...hoping it is salvagable, it's a 2.7 7R case...
