We, wipe clean of oil grease, solvent tank, jet wash, then (depending on part) glass bead blast/ultrasonic/hand clean.
Cheers

Most recently Wurth Eco Part Wash solvent. Nothing is submerged, it is used in the parts wash tank with a running stream out of the nozzle and brushes.

I finally broke down and bought a small parts washer. I don't really have the room for a full size unit so I picked up a Jegs 5 gallon (holds 3.5g of solvent) unit. I added a parts washer brush on a hose as well as an additional splash guard using some rubber and aluminum to keep it from splashing out the back through the hinge (biggest complaint I saw online). I am very happy with it! All in I think I am around $130 for the washer including the few upgrades mentioned.
For solvent I am using PSC-1000 from Tractor supply for $44.99 per 5gal can. https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/crown-psc-1000-parts-cleaner-5-gal Below is my first part through the washer. The PSC-1000 has a very slight smell, nothing like mineral sprits. First pic is part way through cleaning. ![]()
