996tt/GT2 & 996 GT3 Camshaft Actuators Sproket Issues & Interchangeability
Hello,
Are any engine builders familiar with the 996tt/GT2 or 996 GT3 know if the camshaft actuators are interchangeable? The part number for the 996tt/GT2 (996-105-051-73) appears to be discontinued. The part number for the 996 GT3 is available (996-105-051-95). Has anyone experienced issues with the actuators and had to repair or replace them? I am talking about the intake cam sprocket actuators, not the solenoids. Thank you! Jeff

Not sure if they are interchangeable, 996TT has Variocam Plus, GT3 does not. I have an actuator off my parted out 996 TT if you're interested. I have a complete camshaft housing assembly for sale on Pelican in the 996 parts for sale section.
