Second year on the road observations

81 911 sc, us, nearly stock.

It's been around 20k km since I bought the car, re-did the top end and suspension.

We own two other cars that won engine of the year awards, s54, and a 3.0T (super charge). I had felt that last year maybe it was the novelty of the 911, but this year I've been swapping cars and driving them all in equal manner. Verdict: 911 3.0 cis is my favorite engine followed by the m3 s54 and the audi 3.0t. How does a 40 year old car beat out the others? Feel and texture, and crazily enough, I think it's pulls harder than the 330 hp 3.0t. There are days (most days) where every shift is near redline for the first couple of gears, it's like Leno says, you can use all the power all the time, and it's enjoyable as it is. Really a sweet, honest engine and car. It's my favorite.
Phil
