Looking for reputable engine/trans rebuilder in the PNW

My friend has a stock ‘77 911S Targa that’s been sitting in his garage for the last 20 years. Back then he planned to build a hot rod out of it. It’s a stock car in pretty good original condition, and I’ve told him that he should probably keep it stock at this point. He is looking for a reputable engine and transmission rebuilder preferably in Oregon, but Washington could also work. Any first hand experience for a recommendation?

You have plenty of good choices close to your home and in WA. John Walker, al lkosmal are both posters/knowledgeable/experienced/respected contributors here on pelican and come quickly to mind.

If you want to cross the border and take advantage of exchange rates and our experience we would be thrilled to take care of you as well. You can check out our website/FB/IG as well.

Cheers

I had Al Kosmal/X-Faktory do my top end build, and John Walker do my transaxle.

I’d highly recommend either.

Rothsport too, if you can get in. Last I checked, they were a couple years out for engine builds.

We are fortunate in the PNW to have a relatively large number of passionate folks who really know what they’re doing.
