MY Custom Crank Repair Experience
A few months ago, my 84 911 turbo slantnose engine blew up! (Human Error) After tearing the engine down and seeing the extensive damage, the crank was in really bad shape in my opinion. I did my research and Armondo's Custom Crank Repair kept coming up. There were some other shops that do the same type of work in LA but, after reading their reviews I realized I didn't want to take my business there.
I reached out to Custom Crank Repair and spoke to Armondo. I explained my situation to him, he was very pleasant, informative, explained the process and told me he will keep me informed once he receives the crank. I sent the crank and as soon as he received it, he called, explained what he was going to do to get it back to standard/standard. I was very happy with that. Once the job was completed, he gave me the final cost and I was relieved. Holy crank, this is crank is brand new!!! I'm sure there are other companies that can do the same work, but it goes a lot further than that for me. The customer service I received for Armondo was second to none. I run a hydraulic hose business in Florida, and we treat our customers with the same level of customer service Armando gave to me. Throughout this project I have reached out to other engine builders for other parts and wow, not a good experience. The only bad part of this great experience with Custom Crank Repair is that I hope never to blow up the engine again to have the crank repaired. But I will tell all my friends that race their cars about Armondo's Custom Crank Repair in Texas! By the way, it only took around 2-1/2 weeks!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Yes, Armando recently did 2 cranks for me and quick turnaround. He also helped me find better shipping rates on them. Agree customer service was very good.

Good to see the turn around time seems to be acceptable again. We will consider him in the future again...
Have had great results from Marine Crankshaft in the past on both air and watercooled porsche engines.
