Where are the old threads?

There are supposed to be 16,534 threads in the this Engine Rebuilding Forum but only 48 threads + 3 sticky are visible.

At least 16,486 threads are missing. Where are they?

Change the default from “Last Month” to “beginning” and you will have the whole enchilada.

From user cp, your control panel, settings & options, edit options, thread display options, default thread age cut off, show all threads.

You can also search for older threads. The default list is just a view for browsing purposes.

a trick I have learned is that the built in forum search function is a little wonky. So I will often go out to google, and search there, making sure I add the term “pelican” to my search.
