2.0 Engine Case
This engine came into the shop for some upgrades. Interesting case....

Nice looking! It has what looks like a Porsche part number, but it looks like a billet case.

Looks like polished magnesium. Maybe it has been through a micro-polishing machine. They use ceramic media in a vibrating drum with water or other lubricant. The process cleans and closes up the surface of the part. It helps prevent staining and other discoloration without changing any of the dimensions of the part.
