Tips for replacing ex manifold studs
Anyone have any good tips for removing the exhaust manifold studs from the heads? I was going to just grip them with vise grips and twist them out. Should I heat the head with a torch first?
Thanks. Roger |

why, is the first question. best to let sleeping dogs lie, unless there's a good reason. they don't come out easy, and generally need to be drilled. that requires a jig, so the drill is dead center and doesn't go off into the aluminum head and create more problems.
