GT3 Red Bearings
Just ordered a set of GT3 reds from our local dealer.
I noticed that some of them arrived with the expected measuring marks at 3 points around the bearing. But the majority had a different radial line around the bearing. Does anyone know why there would be a difference? All have the same part numbers and logos stamped on the back. (pls excuse the dirty hands... What’s a set cost these days? $650 ish? Looks like those with lines were measured radially almost like a dial bore gauge. Maybe to save time and pass the savings on to us lol.

I remember a post from quite a long time ago where someone was complaining about after market bearings and comparing them to factory one. The point was made that the factory ones would have the long radial marks like you show because that's how they were measured.

Highly irritating to not get a similar set, though. Everyone knows your engine fails when the weakest part fails, so now you have two opportunities for a weakest part instead of one.

Do the striped ones spec out the same as the hash marked ones? If you mic them all and they are within tolerance, what difference do the two marks make?
