Cams for 2 liter S

Building ( not me) a 2 liter six from a T configuration.
Using old school Mahle S pistons. Mainly a street car so S cams are not planned.
Was planning E cams but knowledgeable builder told me there are better options.
Heads are being modified so have that covered.
Can anyone out there give me specifics on suitable cam profile and vendor.
Thanks

I’ve always prefer the Solex grind because it’s smooth to red line yet out performs the E grind

Cam

Thanks Bruce.
I was suspecting that…..but limited technical knowledge so good to have verification.
Can Webcam do that or would you recommend otherwise.

Most suppliers have them on 4 bearing cams so buying the carriers for you would be expensive
Send them out and get the 3 bearing cams you have, welded and ground

Another pretty reasonable option is the Mod Solex spec. It can be ground on a 911E core. No welding
DC-30 "Mod-Solex" I/E 248/236 242/230 .455"/.414" 102 3.8 mm

It is a very nice grind for a street 2.0-2.4 engine

The Solex cam was also recommended for my upgraded '71T (cylinders bored to 85mm; 9.5:1 JE pistons). Webcam reground my T cams. I found some dyno runs with this configuration which produced a high, flat torque curve. Hope to have mine running by the end of the year.

Like Henry said, DC-30 Mod-solex cams. I have them on my 2.2L E engine with S pistons and 40 PMO's. What a fun engine, it loves 5 to 7000 rpm.

Putting the Solex profile on a "T" core isn't a good idea without welding.
If you grind it without first welding the lobes, the base circle become uncomfortably undersized.
