Engine rebuild
Hi all, I’m looking for some help. I have been backdating a 1984 Porsche 911 targa for the last 5 1/2 years and to date have spent much money. The garage that is doing all of the work runs a service business and my car always takes a backseat to his servicing, hence 5 1/2 years backdating. He is halfway through an engine build but is just not getting on with it and I have had several months go by with no work on it at all
Does anybody have or know a mechanic that is capable of finishing the engine build, and once the engine is back in, rebuilding the backend, connecting lights etc. I guess what I am looking for is an independent that has worked on air cooled Porsches before that is capable and willing to finish my dream car ![]() |

Def get the car out of there. Have heard these stories before and it usually ends up with missing parts and/or the business shutting down and difficulty retrieving the vehicle.
