1968 2.2 engine rebuid
Hiya! I'm seeing if anyone can help me with some specs for an S cam on a 2.2L engine.
I'm rebuilding the motor after a few years of neglect. Perfect time to do it, as when I disassembled it I found all sorts of issues. Main bearing failed, standard cam chain tensioners (not upgraded). After a rebuild, I think I incorrectly identified the cams as T, and after measuring the cam duration (and reading a few things on online) I think think its a pair of S cams. Does anyone know where I can find the spec for the S cam? duration of lift, size of lift etc? Does anyone know if you need to put special pistons in the 2.2 for the S cam? Extra cut outs? Its got a set of Mahle piston in it (they have small cut outs for the valves), I've no idea what kind though. They just came with the engine. Any info greatly appreciated. thanks! |
