964 3.6 plastic intake swap
I am dropping my 964 3.6 motor to reseal it. I have the older metal intakes, and I was wondering if there is any benefit other that weight saves to swapping to the plastic intakes? Thanks

Yes, plastic ones supposedly flow evenly. The aluminum ones flow all over the place due to castings.

Thanks for the responses. Can I just purchase a used set of plastic intakes, and swap them for the metal ones? Plug and play?

You can also have the aluminum ones flow extruded to get them balanced.
The plastic manifolds used a different throttle body but from what I have read they are interchangeable. Pete |

Manual or Tip? There is an entire assembly on ebay for tip for $850 right now but it's for a tip.
I have just the plastic intake if you want that $200 shipped - but you will likely be chasing some other parts. |
