MFI for 1982 SC motor
I'm going to be rebuilding my 3L soon and am considering using the MFI system so that I can use "S" cams'. Is this possible or will it be cost prohibitive? What other upgrades will I need?

Have you considered throttle bodies with EFI? And yes it will be cost prohibitive

Well, you would need a set of MFI throttle bodies, a MFI pump, The drivers side cam would need to be modified to drive the pump, a space cam for the pump set to deliver the fuel needs of a 3.0L engine, the heads would need to be machined to accept MFI injectors, MFI heat exchangers, and probably more stuff I am forgetting.
You probably know the stock pistons won't work. Or you could just get a set of used Webers or new PMOs. Tom |
