Timing idler gears

I am making progress assembling my motor and ran across this. Before I button up the timing chains can someone weigh in on this sloppiness of the idlers? Am I missing something here? I have updated idlers that do not require the old spacer, but there is this gap now. Am I to assume that these will just center under tension and fall into place? Just wanting to be sure before I seal this up.

There is nothing missing that’s so there is some centering of the chain available.

Thanks Bruce! I suspected this but wanted some reassurance before I closed it up.

The cover will restrict movement .. but you do want the adjuster shaft to be central on the adjuster foot.

From memory I had to machine a little off the face of the tensioner to ensure they aligned correctly .. which is when the tensioner is all the way in on the shaft.
