Fan shroud injector holes too big?
How much gap is acceptable?
This seems like too much to me. Any ideas on how to fix without ordering another shroud welcome. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Try not, Do or Do not

You could try cutting a high temp rubber grommet to fill the gap.

Sometimes the simple solution is the best.
Thanks Henry ![]()

Where did you buy that aftermarket shroud?
I think that's where the problem is. |

Factory shrouds had large cutouts like that so the shroud can be installed with the injectors in place. When I cut them out, much tighter, injectors must be installed after shroud is in place. Just my observation. I wouldn’t be concerned.

Yes, Damon explained this to me as well, and I found a thread showing a 73S shroud with the larger injector openings from the factory in post #6 here:
https://www.early911sregistry.org/forums/showthread.php?60749-1973-S-MFI-quot-The-Red-Shroud-quot I will still probably use some high-temp grommets to seal things up ![]()

Do I see a modern injector going into a MFI hole adapter?
