Paint on Cases
The PO of my 2.4 thought the top of the engine looked better in silver. Any ideas on how to get it off? I'm thinking simple - wire brush maybe.

The careful use of aircraft paint stripper may be an easier route.

Have the case cleaned first - that may make some of it come off...

Go to Home Depot and buy a can of Jasco paint stripper. Brush it on and let it sit for an hour or two. Be careful not to get this stuff on your hands, as it burns
