73 air filter help. Check it out. Cool! Where can I get these for my PMOs? They have to exist. Any of you old school guys know.... ?????

Have seen this style at a french VW and Porsche shop. Various models available. Guess you have to modify them to fit a 911, but should be not too difficult.

I would be interested in some dyno comparisons of those foam air cleaners vs the K&N, then compared to open carbs. Back in the day there was concern that the foam was more restrictive than the cheese cloth.

Anyone with actual data?

Those are some serious Hp gains. Did some quick math and it ranges from somewhere around 3% to 8%. No other tuning parameters changes between those two graphs? Like adding several degrees of timing.

Hypothesis of what's driving the gains?

Open stacks allow more air. Possibly running a tad lean then and when the filters were added it lessened the air and richened the mixture to the sweet spot.
