Right! Chains and plastic chain guides are consumables. If sprockets are getting pointy, they get replaced.

I will be buying a new oil pump. I narrowed it down to two options:

3.2 pump
993 pump (aluminium)

The 993 pump being bigger should provide more oil. Apart from the shorter shaft do I need to make any other changes?

Some updates:

Checked big and small end on the connecting rods. Bought this tool online and had a friendn print it with his 3D printer. Works really well.

Went with the 993 oil pump, fits the Carrera 3.0 (930/02) case without mods!
