Porsche Crest 69 911t 2.0 Need recommendations

Hello All,
I need some advice and or recommendation on my engine rebuild. I have a 2.0 l engine. I took apart and I do have a couple of issues. 1st I have never worked on a Porsche. I seem to have a head bolt that needs to be repaired, 2 pistons have chipped (see pics) other than that I don't know what I should be doing to get this car going. I would like to take it to the track some day and have some fun with this car. I don't need to keep everything original....Just want to have a fun car to drive.

First buy Wayne's book from our host and then grab your ankles.

This is the book from Wayne which is being referred to. It is a must read, there are some corrections see the sticky thread at the top of this index.

There is a bit more to it with the magnesium engines than just fixing a head stud issue. It's explained in the book about all the things you need to do to a magnesium case....but I will also add they are known for case sag and need the cases trued where the spigots are (where the cylinders sit). I cant remember if that is in the book or not. I learned it from the Nick Fulljames engine series.

I would recommend Bruce Anderson's book . And Ollies once told me that in 30 years they have
seen maybe 3 mag cases that were not warped . So between Ollie's and Nick Fulljames , your case is most likely warped .

I'll 2nd what Banda said, and I did. If you are not concerned about originality, then go with a 3.0 or 3.2 engine. More expensive up front, but less expensive overall.

Very important question: What's your budget? Have you owned this car for several years, or are you new to the sickness? How is the rest of the car?
