Heat sink compund question for ignition module...

As stated in another thread here I am building a 3.4 engine and using the ignition module from a 993 system. Just wondering what people recommend for the module to heat sink connection.

I found the below but wonder if there is better?

Any info is appreciated-

Thanks!
Erik

Hi
I believe that genuine Dow Corning 340 material is good for your application and I have used it for a similar application.
See link to dated TDS below.

However I note your picture states "Brand HushOil"; I would not use that stuff.
Cheers

That giant tube is way, way too much, both in cost and amount.

Get the heat sink compound from Arctic Silver or Super Lube.

If you know a professional mechanic he probably has a few packages of the compound in his tool box left over from replacing ignition modules and would likely give you one for free.

Yeah not sure about the "brand" as you point out. I will see when it shows up what really comes in the package.

Thanks!

I did see those earlier but the instructions/install called for the Dow/Dowsil(?) if memory serves. So I went with that. Looks like I am good for the next 20 years!

Thanks and at least now I will know to pass on to others.

Erik
