Flywheel Pin - Can’t Find One!

Part number leads to a flywheel.

Anyone have a part number for this allen bolt?

I found this:

https://www.pelicanparts.com/More_Info/93010222100.htm?pn=930-102-221-00-OEM&srsltid=AfmBOopgEAr5Epr80AyRfhZwE3ajb8_eZq2QlwgA3o 1dylmEfWXqOTkb

But this can’t be right… it’s $96

Just a normal allen bolt. Steel, not stainless.

Just measured the height of the head on the original, it is just under 6mm versus a normal socket head allen is 4mm.

Hoping to find one locally.

My first Porsche engine build. It’s been very challenging and fun:

Re John stating no stainless, I remember his post about a replacement flywheel that came with a stainless one = no trigger effect on the sensors so a no run situation.

I just looked at an old flywheel and it had an allen head threaded set screw instead of an allen bolt, so that's another fix, or put a washer under your allen bolt to get to 6mm.

I found a couple steel ones (4mm heads) in black oxide coating this morning.

M4 x 10mm
M4 x 16mm

Hoping this would work and trigger the pick up (with washer for height!)

Done.

What was left of the stock pin/screw needed a lot of persuasion with a drill, torch and kroil but it finally came out.

Measured the height of the stock piece as best as we could and got this steel bolt exactly 4.99mm, just where the stock one probably was.

Loctite and done.

edit: ps - one sensor is gapped at .8mm per manual, the new screw head is about 1mm away from the second sensor.
