Where can I get 3.4 litre pistons for 3.2?
I have looked everywhere to find the 100mm piston and cylinder kits to upgrade my 3.2 careera. Any ideas?

We can special order them, but they are not cheap. They typically run about $3600. Give Tom a call at 1-888-280-7799x221.

Toolman:
Just a further application note here for your Carrera,.... 98mm P/C's make 3.4 litres and no case machining necessary. Its a slip in. 100mm P/C's make 3.5 litres and the case spigots must be enlarged. A 3.5 makes really big power,.... ![]()

Right-o. Implying from Toolman's post, I think he wants the plug-in 98mm ones from Mahle, which are easier to find than the 100mm ones...

Yes, easier=better on this project. I will be tearing into this top end rebuild in about 2 weeks. I was just looking at all my options. It looks like pistons and cylinders are going up so I hope mine are OK.

You can also have yours bored (see other thread), and run JEs at 98mm for a cheaper option. Or, sell off your pistons and cylinders as a set, and buy a set of 95s to be bored out (like the ones I have on eBay right now)...

Wayne, are you saying I can have my 3.2 cylinders bored out to 98mm and get a set of JE pistons and I am set? Who does the boring and what are a set of pistons worth(ballpark)?
Jeff

I called J&E. Pistons-complete at 9.5 to 1 were about $950. Bore and Replate cylinders at US Chrome in fond du lac, wisconsin about $175 each.
