Clubsport valves ?
I've opened up a 3.0L of mine that's supposed to have had Clubsport intake valves installed during its last rebuild. Anyone know of a way to verify that? The valves have KTRWT30184/116 on their stems. Is that the same part number of the normal 49mm intake valves?
Thanks, Rob 1980sc |

Do you have a way to weigh the valves? The Club Sport valves would be lighter than stock. I can weigh a few stock valves for you if that would help.

I doubt I could come up with a scale accurate enough.
If you, or someone else, has a stock intake valve around, could you look for a TRW number on the stem near the top? Thanks, Rob |

OK, I looked at a 3.2 intake valve. This is what was written on it:
T-T 307013 930 105 409 13 The in the first number, the "T-T" looks like a "TT" that had the first "T" over typed with an "F". Maybe "T-T" it's a stylized "FT"? The 2nd number is proceded by the triangular Porsche trademark sign. -Chris

Thank you for looking. My intake valves do not have a Porsche part# on them. Just KTRWT30184/116.
I tried searching the TRW website for part numbers, but had no luck. Thanks, Rob 1980sc |

I weighed one of my mystery intake valves on a postal scale today. It said the weight was 4.0oz. Can't be sure how accurate that is though...
Still want to weigh that intake valve of yours Chris? Thanks, Rob 1980sc |

TRW ref 30184 is a standard Carrera inlet valve, OE ref 930.105.409.14
The equivalent exh. valve is TRW ref 3051 (930.105.419.08) Nathan

Not that it matters now but I just weighed one. I removed the carbon but there is still a little bit on it. A Carrera intake valve weighs 3.8oz.

Thanks so much guys !
I had a feeling these were the "normal" valves. I keep finding things on this engine's rebuild receipt that are simply lies... ![]() Rob 1980sc |
