Cant get Rocker arms Loose
 

Man...I cant get those rocker arms to loosen up at ALL..why are they so tight ...Frank

push harder, they gotta give. make sure the 5mm allen socket is fresh and true, and not rounded off, of you can round the rocker bolt off. you are using a 1/4" drive 5mm allen socket and ratchet, right? it would be hard with just an allen wrench.

Soak them down in PB blaster for at least overnight before you try to loosen them up. They are probably really rusted. Mine were. I just took mine out yesterday. Right - some penetrant overnight (really - let it sit overnight) should help things a bit...

Don't forget to wear some substantial cotton gloves. This is a job likely resulting in skin being removed from your hands/knuckles when something slips!

try a small butane torch and heat up the nut. The small butane torch wont likely get it VERY hot, but hot enough to expand it some and hopefully aid the removal...
