"S" cams in 4-bearing?
Are new early S cams (pre-73) available in 4-bearing from Porsche? If so, what are the part numbers?
I'd also like to know the part numbers for original 3-bearing ones. TIA Last edited by blue72s; 12-03-2003 at 09:41 AM.. |

call webcam and have them do up some 4 bearing with S grind for you. or if you already have early S cams, use 3 bearing cam towers on whatever engine you build.

The part numbers should be in the Engine Rebuild book's appendix.
It's almost easier to run the 3-bearing cam towers instead of the 4-bearing ones - there is no real known cause of failure for the 3-bearing ones... -Wayne
