bead blasting heads
Is it possible, if I'm careful, to bead blast (plastic) the heads without damaging the area that mates to the cylinder? I have never used a bead blaster before and am not sure what to expect. Is there a way to protect the mating area if this is an issue?
Also, I don't have a valve spring compressor. Is there a work around tool or should I just order one? Thanks, Norm

Are you rebuilding your top end or just having them cleaned up to look better? A machine shop can disassemble your heads and have them cleaned for a small fee.

Just use masking tape. Masking tape has enough "give" that it will stay in place thru the bead blasting.
