head conversion
hello ,
is it possible to convert a 69 E head to a S head (larger valves) or not ? thanks |

It's most likely cheaper and easier to just convert to some 2.2 heads or even 2.2S heads.

really ??? it s easy to put 2.2 head on 2.0 motor ?? the bore is not, the same I think ?

The head gasket type is different. See my post on converting a 2.2 to a 2.0 on this forum. I still haven't gotten an answer on which head gaskets or modifications would be required.

then it seems that 2.0 and 2.2 heads are plug&play if i can say

The 2.2/2.4/2.7 heads are very similar, but the 2.0 heads are a bit different due to that head gasket. Anything can be made to work though - what is the overall goal?

In an other post , someone told me to put a head of 2.2 instead of modify my 2.0 head to put larger valves like 2.0 S .
