2.4 Stroker Engine from a 2.2 ?

I have seen ads as well as postings for "2.4 Stroker engine" where a 2.2 case used in conjunction with at 2.4/2.7 crank and then the 2.4/2.7 rods as well. What are the issues with this setup or rather what needs to be done to make this a "reliable" engine.

Thanks
David

As far as I know it isn't much different then the stock 2.4. There may be some differences in regards to case version and stuff. But if done right I doubt that the performance would be any different then a stock 2.4.

That's what the factory did to get 2.4 liters...

If you use the 2.2 pistons, it will be a higher compression engine. If you use the 2.4 pistons, then it will be the same as a 2.4...

Wayne, I saw that engine configuration recommended in a section of your book using E pistons and E cams with 40 webers. Is it fair to say the output would be similar to a stock 2.4E or does the increase in compression buy you more performance? The compression increase seems small.
