Question 1983 3.0 with webers????

Can I use weber 40IDA's on a stock 83 3.0. And will give me noticeably more more punch than the CIS? What do you guys recommend for baseline jetting/venturis's.

Thanks

I have no technical input regarding jetting and fit. I can tell you however, that generally the conversion to carbs happens because you want a more aggressive cam which the CIS wouldn't support any more. This is due to the overlap of agressive cam patterns that don't work with the large common volume of the CIS runners and air box.

So, I'd definitely recommend different cams to make a significant impact in the umph department. What grind to use depends on your compression 9.5:1 (?) and the planned use of the vehicle!
