hyd chain tensi , new idler arms, a gap?
I filled my tensioners (pressure fed) last night in an oil vat. I just finished putting them on and I notice that there is a gap between the tensioner and the idler arm. I have the new updated idler arms installed. The gap looks like it's beckoning for a spacer washer. Since I upgraded the idler arms did I forget a couple of washers?
The old spacers are too thick of course. Is the gap supposed to be there? Lee Last edited by oneblueyedog; 02-06-2004 at 07:58 PM.. |

Yes, this question has asked before. A small 1-2mm gap between the tensioner and the idler arm is normal.
