![]() ![]() I finally updated my 911 to the Carerra tensioners. When I was removing the old tensioners with their chain guards, I was tempted to put the chain guards on the Carrrera tensioners but was told not to do it. What would be wrong with adding the chain guards to the Carrera tensioners? I know these oil pressure fed tensioners rarely fail, but if they did, wouldn't you want the chain guards there to help you out?

They won't fit, as they don't stick out as much as the mechanical ones.
There is a secret collar that you can install, and I have a tech article I'm working on for it... -Wayne
