Question 14- Pin Plastic Gang Box

2 QUESTIONS,
1 Swapping a 2.7 with a 3.0 in 76 911, the 14 pin plastic holder on the wiring harness that is on the car broken into 6 pieces, where can I purchase a replacment.

2 I understand that between the 2 years that the pin placement is different, where can I find a wiring diagram for the 14 pin box for 76 and one for 81?

Thanks
Peter

I'm still trying to find the part number for that connector. I've gotten half a dozen 14 pin connectors from the dealer and none of them work. If you get the right one let me know.

if the connector/housings are the same shape and have the same pin receiver...you can swap the pins and wires...

There is a thread out there with a list of pin#=fucntion for a 78SC....I saved the picture on the home PC, but I bet if you search for it it'll turn up....

Tim you are SOL for that MFI voodoo crap...but you can modify the 14-pin connector for you use...

Souk,
I've pulled the part #'s from the archives adn they didn't work. I've tried about everything. I know there out there just can't find 'em. It's not an MFI thing since they're on all the post 70 models. I haven't messed with it about a year since my engine's been dead (SOON!!)

edit: but that was back when I had no clue what I was doing so it might be easy to find I was just clueless at the time I attempted it.

So what you are saying is that you know everything now huh? Kids..when are they gonna learn

Heh heh! Try this.

If this is not exactly wha tyou have/need, start testing with a meter. You should be able to contruct what you have using the above and some smart testing. Good luck...

Someone else may have what you need..or know better than I.....

Souk,
Is the car side or the engine side..................... I guess if it says 78 sc existing chassis must be the harness runniing forward.
