Torque readings
How do you know if t a torque wrench is calibrated correctly, or not? Especially a new one.

Typically, you have it calibrated by a specialty tool shop. If you have a beam-type wrench that almost never goes out of cal, you could do a rough comparison by measuring one against the other. Theoretically, this should work, although every instruction pamphlet I've ever seen says that this is not an approved method for calibration...
