Wow! Did you swiss cheese that crossbar for the motor mounts or does someone sell it that way?

126coupe 03-10-2004 05:04 PM

Fab guy did it. No big deal but we went a little
lite and it twisted a little. put in a gusset and
AOK

Fishcop 03-10-2004 05:07 PM

Minkoff, where did you get the blanking plate for the L side fan? Been chasing a source for a while.

126coupe 03-10-2004 05:10 PM

TimT 03-10-2004 05:45 PM

Fishcop 03-10-2004 07:56 PM

TimT 03-11-2004 05:48 AM

To be PC check pelican,

but I know for a fact that they are available from

GT racing

I think smart racing sells them

The price is kinda ridiculous though about $250 USD for a pair

Fishcop 03-11-2004 01:17 PM

Thanks Tim, I did check Pelican but got no result. But "Yowza" they are expensive!

Cheers

That looks cool :) - what are it's specs and how much power do you expect to get?

Should be a rocket :).

I'm in the early stages of building something similar. Several isiues/questions...

1. I don't see any pressure feeds to the chain tensioners??? or am I going blind?

2. 46mm PMOs? All my calculations indicate 40mm with 36mm venturis to be about on the money. How did you decide on 46mm? - just curious.

3. Where did you get 89mm P&Cs?

4. Such a mild cam?

5. Single plug heads? At 10.2:1, I would have thought twin plugs might be a benefit?

Minkoff, I'm not questioning your build, just curiious as to how you came up with the particular mix of components as I'm in the decision phase myself.

I have had good luck w mechanical tensioners, my German engineer suggested 46MM Carbs, 120/104 cam grind good power band for the tracks I run. 89MM Mahles from Andial bought them 3 years ago. Twin plug will be the next upgrade when I refreshen, but w my crane Hi 6 ignition I get great combustion. 906 CAM...NO power band too high I like my engines to last. Ive run this race car for 5 years, already proven success. Im just moving from a 2.2 to a 2.5 cause my class allows it
