Case studs

I have just opened the crankcase of a '78 3.0 litre. A buddy who came over to see the insides suggested I should consider not only replacing all the dilivar (three are broken), but also the intake side studs, as well as all the case studs. I've yet to see that suggestion in any of the threads about studs, especially the case studs. Any comments on this idea?

Thanks

Here is a comment on that, that everyone seems to fight and try to find some other alternative for whatever reason.

Take all of the old studs, throw them out, and replace all of the studs with some ARP studs, torque them properly and forget about them.

Agreed - I have heard no complaints about either RaceWare or ARP. I personally recommend the original steel studs for street engines, as the cost is significantly less.

All the machine shops I have spoken with agree with wayne. The ARP and raceware are great for a modified engine but a waste of $ on a stock one.
