Manfred's new powerplant it taking shape
After cleaning up I put the engine for Manfred (Zeke's old 914) back together. It's at 67 2.0S with Webers. Power won't come on until 4k but then it'll pull like there is no tomorrow up to it's redline of 7500RPM delivering its peaky 160HP. This will make a fun ride in combination with the close-ratio 901 gearbox.
Here is a picture with the short engine mount and part of the 914 sheetmetal installed. Actually it is made from fiberglass. Notice the rattle can caps that serve as heat block-offs Once we get the oil tank installed the engine is ready to go back into the car. Then Manfred will ride again leaner and meaner than ever. well I've commented on this motor before but I have to add I used the rattle can idea on my motor since I've got headers. THANKS!
