PerimeterCase Stud Broke on Assembly
OK, so I probably over torqued it. But, it broke off.
How do I remove the stud. I have a stud removal tool but do I need to heat the case before I try it? I pulled the case apart and wipe all the loctite off. I just need to fix the studs and try again. And what size are the case studs? All advice appreciated. Michael

if it's flush with the case, you will have to carefully centerpunch it and drill a small pilot hole first, then go to a bit that removes the majority of the shank, and allows a decent size easyout to be used. the small ones tend to break, and that will compound the problem. usually the outer studs come out nicely, but heat will help if it resists. just be smart enough to know when the easyout is getting stressed too much.
