Unhappy Ignition distributor vaccum

My 1972 911T Porsche distributor vacuum advance is not working, I think that the inside diaphram is broken because I pull some vacuum and is not holding it. That part (vaccum advance mechanism) is sold only alone or with the distributor? How much that part affects the performance of the engine?

I don't know if it is for a 911T but I assume it is. It's very important that it works for best performance.

Check the advance plates for rust. I routinely check my SC for rust fusing between the plates and clean it out. Clean it out holding the distributor upside down as to not let the dirt and rust risk going into the shaft bearings and ruining them. I used starting fluid (ether) OUTDOORS.

I replaced a vac advance on a 914 years ago. Check PP.

There is no rust in the distributor, every is rust free and clean. When the vacuum is disconected the RPM will rise. When I do this the RPM doesnt rise or drop. The vacuum advance part is not holding the vacuum. I will believe that the inside diaphram is broken. Does anyone knows how to repair it or if I can buy this part separatelly fron the distributor?
