Pulled tensioner stud

Well, after timing my cams with the help of wonderful jgparker I incurred a little problem. After replacing my old idler arms with the updated parts I went to torque on my tensioners and the right tensioner stud pulled. What is the best fix? Can I install a helicoil with the chain still on the cam?

A time cert might be better, but doesn't epoxy coat the back of the housing over the hole. If it does, you got to take care of that.

Keep a shop vac running and sucking the aluminum chips while you ream the hole and tap it for the helicoil/timecert. Block off the hole where the chain comes into the housing with a lint free rag or tape it. Tilt the engine so the chips fall away from the case if the vacuum misses chips.

It's probably an M8x1.25 stud. I wouldn't use a helicoil. I have that M8 timesert kit if you want to borrow it. The right side should be easy since it is below the chains.
