Silly question but has any one rebuilt a 912 engine who would like to share info
Hi I know this is a 911 engine forum but has any one who might have moved on to 911 engines from 912's ever rebuilt one and would like to share some do's and don'ts

magnaflux the crank. they are famous for breaking. be prepared to spend a lot of cash. (price some mahle P+Cs). otherwise, they are very similar to rebuilding a vw.

cool I have a set of Shasta's P/B's I am looking to take the engine out later next month and get started in the past I have had the carbs rebuilt properly and the gasket set I have is the set will at CSP sells the top one so a good start to far.
looking forward to doing it sort of... Mark
